Movies don't try to bring in non-movie watchers or books bring in non-readers. Sure, there's the equivalence of casual fim and books but that's not their whole goal. Why should gaming try to focus completely on a non-target audience?
Bring them in with good games as a side effect. No trickery.

I'll be renting FFXV because it looks fun but not "Final Fantasy" fun, and buying Type-0 to show support for localization of games they usually don't bring to America (despite not doing it for Vita, damn retards).

Resident Evil is good from this list, nothing else for me. I never got to play any other version of RE except PS1 so this is a treat for me.

Duck Hunt sucks for any longer than a few minutes and even then it's just nostalgia and/or casual, fleeting fun. Very shallow game here, I'd only play it if it were still packed with SMB.
