Melee was better, no question. An Online HD Melee would be way better than SSB4. It is better in all ways, minus graphics (as far as multiplayer is concerned).
Kids cannot appreciate it as much, IMO. My teenage gaming years were my best, and my early 20's were okay. Zelda is sort of in the past for me. Dunno if it's a drop in quality or just me but the last great Zelda was Wind Waker.
"Rebound" is the wrong word. Sony did great, is doing great.The only thing gonna happen is a drop in sales for M$.

Btw, MP is great and done right is an excellent option for all games. That said, it shows their mentality. They just want to jump onboard the CoD train and it is stupid.

Monster Hunter is not "THE" system seller. Mario moves units like no other, but that's not gonna happen on Vita (yet).
I can tell you it ain't Bayonetta 2, that's for sure. I am somewhat disappointed in SSB4, but it's casual fun no doubt. It just needs a Turbo mode, mainly. It plays like molasses in January, especially air combat.
Game sucked. Got it on PS+ and still regret playing it.
