But, I would expect this version to be no different from the premium except for HDMI and a larger, later to be available, Hard Drive. Thus, whether you have a core, a premium, or an Elite; they will all play the same games. Some people have asked for HDMI and MS is just providing a product for that market, which is good business sense.

A larger hard drive will be more important particularly with the advent of IPTV coming sometime this fall here in the US. I really only see the Elite version appealing to people who feel they have to have HDMI and it's nice that those people have that option. I'll upgrade when the Denon AVR 4807 becomes available, otherwise my other three 360's play all the same games.

The Elite, barring the extended Hard Drive size, will only appeal to those who feel they need HDMI. People have asked for an HDMI option and MS like a smart company is going to offer that option to it's customers. MS is only providing options for people to Jump In based on their needs.
only 80 dollars more than the current price of the Premium, it isn't that over priced for an added 100 gigs more worth of hard drive space. But when compared to the basic version of the PS3, or even the PS3 premium version, it isn't as great a deal. I'll still get an Elite 360 when I need to change over to HDMI. It's important MS to be including an HDMI cable, which Sony should have done with their premium version.

holiday season over here. If the PS3 out sells the 360 during November and December, then that will go far in improving it's position during this generation. But, the PS3 will going against some very good titles for the 360 this fall and I would expect MS to be in a position to have a price drop sometime this year. 360 offers, it should be selling better. Some old xbox user, like myself, may have had more than one xbox and I can imagine a good number of people waiting for Halo. I also think that the price point is too high for many people yet. The success of both the PS3 and 360 will improve once their price get closer to 200 dollars.

certainly did get me excited for the prospect of another Crimison Skies. I don't know when it could come out, as after Shadowrun, I would hope they will at least start on or begin finishing Mech Assualt. I really hope they only need to put a couple months finish on Mech Assualt and we'll all get a nice suprise in June/July when it's announced for early fall. At least one can hope. FASA has some nice IP.
