I literally hate COD (you could say loathe...:o ) but people have to stop saying COD does nothing right. IMO, COD has the best menu system around- it is quick and extremely easy to navigate.
Secondly, it has a sh*tload of guns. Around 40 if you count secondaries. When Killzone 3 (not hating) has like 7, something is wrong.
Customization. COD has it. Lots. Emblems and titles are a fun gimmick that keep people hooked.
