If the intended price is supposed to be $13, then the simple solution is to charge 1040 MS points in the US, and 800 in Eurpope. The currency is different, so the pricing should be different.
$13 is not too much to pay for a full game. The devs need to be compensated for their efforts, but it's the way they went about this. No other devs seem to have this issue, so why these guys? Of course gamers are going to be pissed at the situation. If they didn't realize that...
If converting MS points across different countries is such a problem, why do other devs seem to be handling it fine?
Wait, I don't.... but... what?
Yup, comment from them:
"Lag, on the other hand, could probably be avoided. Playing through the Xbox 360 version my travels have been intermittently interrupted by brief pauses, during which I assume the next part of the world is trying to load behind-the-scenes, but fails. A brief pause now and then while travelling isn't incredibly bothersome, but coupled with the lag I've been experiencing opening up the game's nifty new cross menu — enough to make me w...
Lens of truth would make Uncharted look better on 360 if they could. I honestly don't know what kind of effed up settings they use when capturing these PS3 screenshots, but they are always the worst I see anywhere. After a couple years of doing this, it's no longer coincidence. These guys are just fanboys trying to make 360 look superior on every multiplat. At least 50% of the time digital foundry's analysis disagrees with them.
Agree, but this one is offline, so what my friends play doesn't really matter. Since I own both consoles, I plan to buy whichever looks to be better. All things being equal, I will go with the ps3 version.
"But I sure ps3 WILL lag behind 360 in frame rate. That's not trolling,"
Yes it is. You are saying you are sure of something that you really have no idea about.
" I own both ps3 and 360(*Ps3 LOYALIST, NOT Fanboy!!!) and I experienced alot of mulitplat games on both, some I own, others rented from gamefly. So KNOW what I'm talking about."
So do I. I happen to be trying to decide which version to buy, which is...
"4)Weaker frame rates, usually from 5 to 12 behind the 360."
You can tell this from screenshots? Go back to troll school. You suck at it.
@ MimeTime
LMFAO. I spit my water out when I read that. Well done sir.

"Eurogamer's review was so much better written than IGN's"
You're right, it is. The production value of the review would probbaly rival the game he's reviewing. What irony. From where I stand, the review was nothing more than complaints about things that have been present in the series since the beginning. If he's just decided he doesn't like these things after 3 installments in the series, sounds like a matter ...
Um, Giantbomb... the review was not "mostly positive". Simon had retarded negative remarks spewed through the whole thing. Not to mention complaints about series staples which all of a sudden apparently stick out like a giant zit.
" the game commits the cardinal sin of insinuating you have full control of your character, but in fact tugging you towards trigger points - making sure you're in the right spot to tumble over the bonnet of that braking car, fo...
Just wish reviewers would apply their criticisms to all games fairly. That's not a lot to ask. Can Eurogamer say with a straight face that Infinity Ward made their MW2 more "game" than "movie"? Yet it scored a 9/10. If this particular element is THAT important to Eurogamer, why did it not apply to MW2?
The article writer at Giantbomb mentions "confirmation bias" in that we as consumers are looking for confirmation to our beliefs in these r...
@ Legion - I bought a 360 for certain exclusives I was unable to play on PS3, and a few multiplats that play much better on 360 (such as Orange Box, Bayonetta, etc). Seems like a large investment to play so few games, but I got the 4GB model on sale for $129 so I think it was worth it. Lost Odyssey and Mass Effect were awesome games. Glad I got to play them.
What I meant by my comment was that there must be something very appealing about the 360 to make consumers in NA con...
Is anyone else amazed that the 360 continues to sell so well in NA? PS3 is now cheaper, and has way more exclusives, but consumers are still choosing to purchase the 360. I figured by now, they would be pretty much even month to month, or even Sony ahead by a bit, but that hasn't been the case. I own both, so it's hard to put myself in the shoes of someone going out to buy their first console. Must be something appealing about 360 though...
@boommuffin
FFVII may be overrated, but it's overrated by enough people to make it a worthwhile investment. SE is simply making too many mistakes. Anyone who can't see this is a blind Square fanboy. I used to worship them back in the FFIII/Chrono Trigger/FFVII days. They continued to produce quality tile after quality title.... we got FFVIII, Parasite Eve, Vagrant Story, FF Tactics, Chrono Cross, Xenogears, the list goes on and on and on. What the hell happened to that compan...
You make no sense. FFVII wouldn't be a whole new game. It would need a new game engine, which would take some time, but the investment would be worth it for the number of copies it would sell. I'll be shocked if FFX sells 100k units.
You are obviously a fanboy, so there's probably not much sense arguing with you. S-E has been making poor business decisions for years now. Recent events are not out of the ordinary for them. Yes, they are a business, so it's f...
Since Square (formerly Squaresoft) merged with Enix, they have gone in a downward spiral.
When was the last time they released a mainstream game without any controversy? FFX? I can remember the outrage when FFXI was included in the main series, as most FF fans weren't interested in MMORPG's. When FFXII came out, many were turned off because it seemed like S-E were trying to simply formulate a single player MMO. A lot of the game mechanics were the same as FFXI. FFX...
$10 says that review mysteriously never makes it to Metacritic. Any takers?
Yes, Code Veronica is an excellent game. I really enjoyed it on Dreamcast. And it had a lengthy snow section when Claire was brought to a prison in Antarctica.
Just want to bring up the fact that you have to buy a shitty game to play this demo, so.... no one wins.
