When enough dedication and resources go into development of a game, it's not so hard to achieve parity. It happened quite often on PS3/360... lazy devs were exposed when the PS3 versions looked like crap, and the good devs made them equal.

Most people are disagreeing with you but I agree. Dark Souls 2 is an ok game, but it's not on the same level as DS1 or Demon Souls.

There's nothing separating XBL and PSN these days, and PSN is still $10 cheaper per year. Yes, PS4 owners have to pay for online now, but the fact is they didn't for 8 years prior to that. 360/XB1 owners are 9 years @ $60 per year and counting now. When it came out I was busy playing FFXIV:ARR so I put it off, intending to pick it up when it dropped in price, but the hype died down, and Dark Souls 2 came out, which took a ton of my time. When ND announced the remastered version, it was the last straw though- I'll be picking it up day 1.... whenever that is.
I was thinking the same when GTAV was announced. Just paid $60 for this, and I wouldn't mind having the option to upgrade it to PS4 version rather than pay $60 again. Hopefully they will offer this with TLOU but since I've never purchased this, I will buy it regardless.
Agree. These prices will guarantee this service fails. Why am I paying $30 for FFXIII-2 for 3 months when I can buy it off amazon for $15 and own it forever? $4.99 for 4 hours for an RPG? Good luck with that.
IMO the pricing should be more like 1 week - $2.99, 1 month $4.99, 90 days $9.99. Any higher and this is going nowhere.
I can see this game being a cult classic at best. It just won't appeal to very many. It will probably sell 750k or so as the Xbox hardcore will buy it because of exclusivity, but won't hit mainstream appeal.

I see your point, but now whichever new IP Epic comes out with will be multiplat. Even if Gears is locked up, it's gotta suck for MS to see this. Then again, Sony went through the same thing with Insomniac.
I don't understand why they didn't just buy Epic. Gears of War 1 was an achievement when it came out, but it became stale and outdated over time. At this point, this news is meaningless to most people.
So what did he say that was wrong? He was 100% accurate in his assessment of how Microsoft has conducted business since May of last year.
His beef is not with what they have changed, but how they have lied about everything that COULD be changed, and then acted like heroes when announcing the changes.
They really are a deplorable company- one I will never support again, but that's my choice. You are all free to make yours.
