kind of sad that most third party developers just take the short cut or cut corners with the HDD installation. Most of them dont even have a big difference compare to the 360 version of the same game. HDD are meant to be used like Uncharted, only for temporary cache, like what many develoeprs did with Xbox1. Instead of spending more time to optimzed the game for the blu ray disc they just use the HDD for installation because Sony allow them unlike on 360 or xbox1 which werent even an option. ...
ya having too big titles come out so close to each other may over shadow one or another. not too sure on this one, but I will buy both thats for sure.
ok, what happen to the PS3 trophies patch, capcom lied again?
I did, and most multi platform games look identical if they are using the same spec (ie resolution, same assets like textures etc). Its pretty much the FACT that the PS3 output is always brighter no matter what ppl say, unless you tv use a different setting with different input (ie different display mode or input connection liek HDMI compare to component). Every time, ppl ask a developer on any multi platform games, they will say the color or brightness difference, because You CANT have both ...
its the standard PS3 color output, beyond3d guys did a test, the 360 color is all shifted towards red and black more to fake a richer look, and the PS3 is pretty much right on the color scale standard (even with rgb full range). To make them both identical, all you need to do on PS3 is change TV color setting to warm 1/warm 2 and decrease the brightness (to get the fake richer color look on 360). However some games like GTAV or burnout for examples have been tweaked by the developers to look ...
this is one of the closest looking game yet, too bad it sucked.
I'll probably pick one up when the jasper models are out. My old one crap out too many times and since I already have a 20 gig HDD, should be good enough for atleast awhile. Anyone know if theres anyway to get the free data transfer cable if I ever update the HDD?
Gears 2 definitely sell more, MS will probably throw another 10 million dollars into marketing like Halo 3 and hype it up like crazy. And it is also the biggest release 360 has this year.
R1 was market as a horror game in JP, Gears looks very horror ish too so those games did surprisingly well there. In Asia horror is basically main stream.
they cant really blame on the poor sales on PC alone, the port wasnt very good at all. The surround sound doesnt even work out of the box, the game lag and runs very choppy even on high end rig. You have to set the setting in a specific way and tweak some stuffs in the ini files in order to get the game runs they way it should. It does looks alot better than the 360 version at the end but look how much trouble you have to go through when you still have to pay full price for the game. And my s...
I live in the same city as the company and Im not even supporting them. Boring game is so not pixar, glitchy and unpolished as hell game is so not Square.
bioshock on my PC looks better than all these crap. If you want to show off atleast play it in a higher res.
I have the game and its definitely not a very high quality port compare to something like VF5. Its not horrible, it looks as good as the arcade and sharper if you use HDMI. And online mode is good enough for most arcade fans.
new motion controller.
lol, I dont think the existing version are getting any patch or upgrade, they would need a some serious tweaking. Also, Sony require all the late ports to have extra contents compare to the original anyway.
I dont think they get it, the problem is the entire d-pad, not how many direction input the d pad can accept. 8 direction is more than enough for anything fighting games really, the problem is the crappy design d-pad physically.
hope they will have trophies support.... either way its a day 1 purchase to me.
the company that made the engine said the PS3 handle it like a champ, ran a benchmark on 360, a PC with Geforce 8800 GTS and a PS3. PS3 rendered it the quickest. Hope they game will be for PS3.
PSN is much more indie developer friendly, seems like the some of these indie developers dont like XBL much, N+ developer even come out and said making N+ on 360 is a nightmare dude to some many restriction especially on the size limitation, even told ppl to make games for psn instead. I think the biggest difference is that Sony actually choose indie developers and look for cool looking titles to put up on PSN, like what they did with Everyday shooter and flow, MS just keep telling everyone t...
day 1 purchase, interesting that Insonmaic said if they ever make a Resistance game for PSP they will make it like Killzone liberation, isometric view. But they let other company to work on it with a different style, which is still cool.
