I think I am the only one that isn't salivating over GTA4. I appreciate it for what it is and what it has done for gaming, but it has always felt hollow to me.
Life is too short. I stopped playing WoW since they showed me how much time I have spent of my life wasted away. I play Cod4 and Warhawk quite a bit, but for the love of god, 4 full days of your life gone, not even mentioning online play. Fun for awhile, but I would rather have shorter, better quality games rather than going for length (not saying this game won't be quality, but seriously doubt it will be God of War type of good.) OK, I will admit full heartedly that COD4 does almost nothing as far as developing the mind especially of a young kid. I would say they do help with the eye/hand coordination which IS helpful. Is it just me or would trying to steer with no force feedback, or "end point" (maximum turning endpoint) be exremely hard? I don't have a wii but when i played motorstorm using motion, it was hard as hell. You get no feel for the steering. Wii may be different but give me the N64 controller and kart and i am happy. Motion playing isnt good for every game out there.
