This is just another excuse for them to try and syphon more money out of gamers, what is this industry becoming?
I think a boycott of COD might be the order of the day, Bad Company 2 in my opinion is better anyway.
The game not only has Campaign and Co-op story mode, there's also the Hunter, Last Stand, Face-Off, and Infiltration.
All of which can be played solo or multiplayer, for those of you who actually read the IGN review they said the single player campaign was part of a larger package. They also said that you'll probably want to play it through more than once also.
So for all those people moaning about the length of the game, if you dont like it, dont buy it. Save your money...
I really don't understand all the people who are moaning about it getting high scores and how Microsoft have bribed all the websites to give it good reviews.
First of all I think this is complete garbage, did it ever occur to you that it might actually just be a really great game. Whats more likely to be true?:
1) MS bribed all the reviewers to give the game a good score
OR
2) Halo 3 is a geniunely amazing game

Armyless, if you had actually read my post properly you'd see I wasn't knocking anyone. I was simply stating that it would be an idea for someone to do a detailed report into the effects and benefits of it. I don't see how that is knocking anyone.
Perhaps you should consider a bit of restraint before jumping in on the offensive.

I think what they need to do is create a detailed report on what advances have been gained from all this as its all coming at a price.

They could have done a multiplayer game in Bioshock which like some of you have said is completely seperate.
They could do it where is doesn't involve the main character and perhaps you are a splicer and you can choose which splicer you want to be. Think that would be quite fun cos you could be a splicer which climbs up walls or goes invisible etc...

This is because the Video Game market is really booming and everyone wants to get a slice of the pie.
I'm not a fan of Sony but I do think thats quite disgusting for the church to demand a 'donation'. What about all this preaching for forgiveness etc. I suppose when there's money to be made that doesn't apply.

Whilst I do have a lot of respect for this whole Folding at Home idea.
But aren't we supposed to be trying to save energy. Surely if hundreds of thousands of power hungry PS3s are left on and Folding for an extra 8 or so hours a day then that would consume a ridiculous amount of electricity.

I'm in the uk and I got my copy from gamestation. It turned out to be a 055 even though the idiot in the shop told me he had checked them and they were all 065 models and that was the part number apparently written on the back of the guitar. It turns out when I got the game home and opened the box it wasn't a 065 but a 055. Maybe I'm just missing all of the PS3 adverts but I seem to remember there being a hell of a lot more adverts on TV for the PS2 in UK when it was first released "Welcome to the 3rd place" and all that.
I suppose they're relying more on the brand to sell itself this time they're assuming that most people will already be aware of the PS3 and its release date.
I've heard of bitter people posting bad reviews on Metacritic just to bring the score down when they don't even own the game and havent ever played it. They have done it on most AAA releases on all systems.
