Really? Not to be an ass, but developers usually won't come out and say their new game is underwhelming or doesn't offer a significant improvement over their last game. This is especially true when it comes to BioWare.
Reading their claims, I thought I could travel to a near-infinite amount of planets in ME, and they would all have interesting side missions that tie in to the main story. They would of course also be vastly different from each other in both visuals and layout. Wel...
Is that a UFO in my Playstation 3? http://www.cynamite.de/_mis...
I Wanna Be The Guy is indeed harder. It is also deviously done, presenting you with a screen that seems "easy" enough but has several traps impossible to spot without triggering them, resulting in an almost certain death. The most devious of these are often placed at the last obstacle before a save point, just to say FFFFFFUUUUUUUUUUU!
The new BattleNet 2.0 features are great. But I still think LAN should be left as an option. Require that owners register their copy online to deal with piracy, and keep the LAN.
Bu-but games are different, in games you can touch them! Biiiig difference! >_>
WTF, no aliens?! What is this!
Not so in Sweden. In my medium-sized town of Sundsvall we have a fairly large sortiment of Blu-ray rentals in most rental stores. It is also very well advertised. I don't know how well it has sold though. But judging the people I know it seems to be doing fairly well, and HDTV's are doing very well.
I think it's very professional of Bungie to come out and say this instead of claiming it to be 720p. But then again, 99% of their fanbase won't notice, so there's really no need to be hush hush about it.
R1 definitely had the better single-player. The competitive multiplayer is much down to preference, I prefered the first's less arcadey gameplay, but the berserks and skirmish in R2 were good additions. R2's co-op was however very original and pretty well designed.
R2 was veeery ambitious and it got rushed to go up against the less ambitious GeoW 2. I have very high hopes for Resistance 3.
It will be interesting to see how Sony advertise GT5. It will easily sell millions on reputation and its fanbase alone, but could go on to sell even more with proper marketing.
I'm currently ordering a sweet PC rig but I also have an Xbox 360. It would've been a matter of graphics vs controls, as I'd rather play 3rd person games with a controller.
What screenshots? Everything that was new was concept art.
Why not just say "Only Xbox 360 and PC games interest me."?
I'm not really sure which of those titles I'll get, except for Halo 3: ODST. I'm sure I'll thoroughly enjoy ODST, but I'm only interested in all the others. I am also very tempted to purchase myself a new gaming rig. If I do, then I'll definitely get MW2, L4D2 and Bioshock 2 on PC.
@Beans. - You mean the PS3 doesn't have a lot of titles this year? What is a good opportunity for what to make sales? Your comment doesn't make sense.
@Sack_boi. - Why not? Darksiders was delayed but MAG is still releasing in 2009, no? They also didn't add Ratchet & Clank: ACIT and Halo 3: ODST.
The DLC may not make Little Big Planet sell better, but MM and Sony have probably earned more money on DLC sales rather than retail sales. As such, I agree: WHAT?!
What asshats write these articles?
I hope you're not American or British STICK, because I'm Swedish and I understood that perfectly fine.
@Kigmal.
Halo 2 Collector's Edition was produced in quite a lot more than 26 copies...
Is it going to be innovative though? Nope. If they include ME 2 simply for its realistic portrayal of its characters, then Uncharted 2 should definitely be in there as well.
Maybe Gabe Newell didn't want anyone to know they actually have PS3s in their office.
