Sigh...I'm ready for all these VR devices to come out so they can inevitably fail and then we can get back to our regularly scheduled programs. The technology might be here but mainstream interest wont be. Not too many people will subject themselves to that level of nerdism. Not trying to be mean but gaming already has a reputation of being nerdy and antisocial...this...is taking it to a whole new level.

For myself, I will not be purchasing any VR device cause I still wan...

I'm positive I'll get a ton of disagrees for this but in what world and what logic do pre-order numbers equate to a game being good? I've always looked at pre-order numbers as an indication of interest in a game, which has nothing to do with the quality of a game. JS.

Just because a game has high pre-order numbers does not prove that it's good nor bad. That determining factor will be decided upon the games release.

Since no one else has said it, I'll say it. Xbox......One November.

The SNES is where i really got onto gaming. The NES i was like "ok cool" but with the SNES i was like "i love games". SNES is my #1, dreamcast my #2.

@thanhgee the funny thing is no one really knows the sold through numbers. The most accurate number that we can get is from Sony and Microsoft itself which they only report shipped numbers if they report sold through it would only be an estimate, as its up to the retailers to release that information voluntarily.

Also, my stated numbers were guesstimates for the end of November. I assume if they say they're close it would mean most likely November maybe December. Either w...

@thanhgee Last I saw they where a million behind in the U.S. and that was before the price drop. I wouldn't consider that "far behind" or "quite a bit" . Also, the last time Sony announced their numbers they said they were at 13.5 million shipped worldwide back in September so let's say by now they're at 15 million shipped. Microsoft last week announced that they will soon hit 10 million shipped with them saying that I would say they're probably at 9 millio...

@legionsoup I'll explain the $50 price drop for you. Microsoft did not drop the price of the Xbox One, they simply made a new SKU, the kinectless SKU, the Kinect Xbox One still remains and was still at the normal $499 price tag. Only till November 2nd did that change to $449 for the Kinect Xbox One and $349 for the kinectless sku.

Also, I love my Kinect 2.0 and I wouldn't want my XOne without it. Its being used in simple ways but I've become far too used to it to...

It's a $50 price drop not $150. Also, they're not far behind the PS4 period let alone in the U.S. but they don't want to be close in the U.S., they want the lead here

If there are no yearly franchises then there would be some really bored gamers. The only way I see it working is if they extend support for the games to maybe two years with expansions and dlc. Still that might not work because of the attention span of people.

Yearly franchises support new franchises. If you didn't have NBA 2k there would be no Evolve. No Call of Duty, no Destiny. No Assassins Creed, no Watchdogs or The Crew. No Madden, no Mass Effect.

So Sony offers GTA and TLOU for 399.99 (which is a good deal) and Microsoft simply tries to one up them and give THE CONSUMERS a great deal, which both are doing, yet one company is labeled desperate? Stop it. Just. Stop. First there were complaints that the XOne is too much now its at a great price, with great deals and somehow fanboys still find a way to bash Microsoft. Lame.

That loot system...I never knew how much I enjoy getting loot until Destiny and now COD has added it and they have me hooked. Sigh...I've never bought COD DLC but I may buy at least one this time around.

Is there a release date for this game yet?

Advanced Warefare deserves the positive attention it's a really good game.

Where did you get those latest "NPD" numbers? I ask because NPD only reports on a monthly basis and two, they haven't reported on Microsoft's number in a while and Microsoft hasn't reported their numbers since the beginning of the year.

Those are theoretical numbers. When using theory pertaining to numbers the variable number (2 million) doesn't matter. Its the invariables that you should pay attention to.

@imt 2 million × .32 = 640,000 it was just a typo.

Bingo.

4120d ago 3 agree7 disagreeView comment

True but that probably is a 'cancel out' since both consoles provide digital sales, so the main difference would be the bundle.

4120d ago 2 agree1 disagreeView comment

@kornholic the reason you have disagrees is because its a fact yes, but a fact with an '*', because bundles and digital sales aren't reported in basic software sales. The big one being the sales of that bundle.

4120d ago 4 agree6 disagreeView comment

Interesting article but theres one huge elephant in the room...bundles aren't taken into account in software sales numbers. But very interesting numbers nonetheless.

Why does it seem like it's soo hard to believe that the PS4 just can't handle every game at 1080p/60 or even 1080p/30? There will be games that it will not be able to handle at those settings.

S/N: Neither one of these consoles are very tech heavy. Im not a PC guy but if 1080p/60 is what you want across every game you play then maybe it time you drop the consoles and start investing in a good PC.
