Sony owns the Demons Souls IP. Dark Souls was almost a carbon copy of the Demon Souls formula. Sony could have sued Namco Bandai but I think they decided not to burn bridges with Namco Bandai. If Fromsoftare collaborated with SCEJ in development is it still considered 3rd party?
I dug up an article earlier from 2010 about Sony Santa Monica. (I cant find it now, I think it was VG247)
The article talks about 2 projects in pre-production. One was having a short pre-production under a new team (probably God of War:Ascension) while the other was having a very long pre-production and was SSM's biggest most important project to date.

LOl, anyway I don't really care who wins (I don't own stocks in Evil Assholes and Craptovision) but I think I am more likely to buy Battlefield 4 than COD: Ghosts-Just my personal preference.
I really hope this game is Beyond my expectations.

Yes they have got lots of teams now but the people that made Rare GREAT in the late 90's and early 2000's have moved on. Again, under the right guidance Rare could make great games again but they wont be made by the same people who made Perfect Dark and so on. The Rare that made Perfect Dark doesn't(hardly) exist anymore for better or for worse.

Im sure COD:Ghosts will sell millions but Im not sure if that will continue for the whole of the Next Generation when arguably there are much better FPS's out there.
