@Raiinstorm81

but thats the point int he game, that was alwasy the point in the game..thats what all the previews said it was!!!

so why are disappointed it doesnt have GTA./RDR levels of epxloration and side missions?

if they had included all of that then be prepared to wait another year or so

heres another great paragraph from the examiner review

'Overall,L.A. Noireis a breakthrough game that takes the next step forward to close the gap between the virtual world and real life. Players will find themselves enraptured by the landscape and the architecture and may even forget that there is a controller in their hands. Sound quality, lighting, graphics -- all top-notch. Maybe at times too true-to-life. Players may find stretches of the game boring or drawn-out. In...

even it didnt get an A, that last paragraph in the review summed up why I was so excited for this game and why im loving it now...I will paste it here :

'L.A. Noire is a lot like Heavy Rain, and not just because they’re both mystery games. They each take bold steps in untested waters for gaming, they each establish an amazing level of immersion (at times), and they each make odd choices that can frustrate you as well as awe you. While I do have complaints, this is still a...

lol SNES games are godly, Chrono Trigger, SMW, Zelda : Lttp, Super Metroid, Secret of mana, FFVI, earthbound etc

for me the SNES and Megadrive era will always the best

although I loved the beginings of the PS and N64 era also

@xPhearR3dx

agreed, its a cerebral narrative-driven, mature-themed noire crime thriller

like them descriptive words? this aint for excitable kids

5482d ago 2 agree0 disagreeView comment

not if it sells well, which its guaranteed to do I reckon about 3/4 million

I hope more devleopers do something different and realise not all gamers want sandbox crime games or shooting galllery military shooters

huh I like you fanboys trying to tell me The Witcher is so goood, when I play PC games!!! I got portal 2 for the PC dummies!!

The Witcher aint better than LA noire, its good but it another generic PC fanatsy RPG with lots of redundant gameplay and dungeon crawling in it

of course you guy will talk it up like you do crysis, which I picked up for £2.50 from a steam sale (obviously cauae they are exlusives) but they are both very good but it gets the hyperb...

yeah a metascore from nobody reviewers so far!!

its alot easier for RPG's to get a great scores than a point and click adventure style game like this, which has a 90/91 metascore, Heavy Rain was also amazing (with similiar point and click style gameplay) and that only got 87!

and it wasnt just the faces used to promote LA Noire but the investigation gameplay, the original (for a game) period L.A. setting and the dark serial killer storyline

Great score, will pick this up after LA Noire

@Kee

Me too I didnt fully realise how brilliant it was until it was over!!

I played the SP, took about 9 hours, then completed the coop in about 4 hours the next dat

being a puzzle game and linear I have no reason to go and play it again even with new DLC, (without a context/story for the puzzles to be put it in I dont think im that bothered about it)

so I sold the PS3 copy but kept the included steam version (just in case) ...
