That used to be true for me, I hated Valve because of what Gage said, but when I put Steam on my laptop (bought it for school and the graphics resemble that of a really average game) I instantly loved them. Steam has really changed my way of thinking about pc games and I'm considering getting a gaming rig within the next two years to really experience great graphics.
