I disagreed, but that's because I am a huge Killzone fan, not because your preference is not valid. And I will certainly buy Resitance 3 also.

Sorry, I mistakenly disagreed while I fully agree with you. I don't think I've read a single negative preview. It's promising. Can't wait also for this one.

The ignorance about GT5's deep options is staggering in this blog. I really shouldn't have wasted my time in reading this.

I'm a big fan of GG because of the Killzone games, so I'll will look forward to whatever next ip from them. And a medieval or fantasy like game doesn't sound too far fetched. I would have loved something in third person, but an FPS in such a setting can be cool.

You are doing your name so much justice.

If you are referring to this particular level I can understand your feeling that it looks similar to KZ2. But its scale alone should provide for a different experience. That and the new melee mechanics and the improved graphics. I assume that this level is a sort of farewell to the familiar Helghan war torn surroundings. I think that most of the other levels do not look like this 'Reckoning' level. Peronally I like this kind of atmosphere.

It is indeed old news, but it's always good to hear that the new IP is still on the roll, so to speak. I'm very curious in which genre we'll have to think. Hermen Hulst recently stated that GG is being considered as thé FPS dev in the Sony stable. Perhaps they wish to break out of that box. Who knows. Personally I would like to see something from them in the third person genre and preferably not a shooter. An RPG would be awesome.

If you are referring to the SP then that's great to hear.

I believe you'll get a dynamic theme with the special edition. Anyways, nice post. All seems well with Guerrilla. I'm certainly going to enjoy the holidays with the knowledge that 2011 will deliver some killer exclusives.

@ XXDub You may find this hard to believe but I love the KZ2 campaign. I cannot think of another shooter that draws me in so easily. I still play it on a very regular basis.
Edit; DevilsJoker is correct in stating that the pure raw gameplay is what it makes so good to play (for me, that is)

Nice preview. Do I understand it correctly that the previewer also confirmed online co-op this time? Besides the offline that we already know of.

It is one of the Helghast shot by a harpoon out of Rico's weapon.

I really don't think one should compare a gritty FPS to an exotic TPS / action game. KZ3 has some insane action going on at the same time. Uncharted has more pleasing sceneries and indeed very good characters. Both in their own right do belong to the top in their own genres, I believe. The pic of the close-up of Narville is looking very impressive by the way.

I'm not into these peripherals, but it seems to be fun to use. And the fact that GG and Zipper both had a hand in this is a plus in my book. By the way, those snippets of gameplay are full of win.

Okay, sorry. I misread that part.

I don't think Hulst meant 50% of what the PS3 is capable of, but that GG managed to to optimize their engine in such a way that they now can do twice as much graphics wise as they were able to two years ago. And I'm sure that with their next IP they can squeeze out even more. Who knows what the PS3 is actually capable of? And @ P1NKY; I really think that KZ3 is also a graphical improvement; not just the scale.

Cool. I really didn't need it, but it's wellcome anyway. Curious to see how it will work out visual-wise.

@ Sleepy3 I'm not sure why you bring this up. It seems that when it concerns the KZ series people love to play the innovation card. Seriously, how many games nowadays do in fact bring real innovation or what hasn't been done before in one way or the other. For me it is all how it is presented, how it feels when you play it and how it immerses you. KZ2 is my favorite game because for me it does all these things very well. Of course I cannot speak for others. It's strictly personal....

I have a feeling that they still didn't tell us all about what we can expect. And I hope it stays that way until close to when the game actually comes out; I want to be surprised. Good interview.
