the 360's gpu is closest to the ati x1600 while the ps3's RSX is a near spitting image of a g71(7800). Look at any bench between the two, you will see the 7800 stomp the 1600. At the resolution of a tv, the 7800 actually performs quite well. Although you are right about one thing, the cell is great at assisting the rsx to make scenes that are impossible without the combo. its a fact the the 360 has 512mb of total memory, so if all of it is for video, where is its system ram? if you had more than $hit for brains youd know that the 360 has 512mb of shared GDDR3 for the video AND system. The ps3 has 256 dedicated GDDR3 for video and 256 dedicated XDR ram @ 3.2 ghz. and as someone has pointed out, its possible to access all of the ram from anywhere on the system. You = fail.

I think this is the same old-timey mindset that doesnt understand that video games are the new hollywood. And instead of watching boring movies and going out and getting hammered, that adults now like to game. Its from the same mindset that thinks only kids play games thus vilent and adult rated games should be banned.
