It listens for commands it doesn't record storing what you said to send to the devil later on lol. Go to kinect settings and turn off all social functions if you don't trust it(wont send any of your actions in the form of text and pictures for certain games that have those features with social networks)
I'm happy because it will refresh gaming making it even more mainstream. It's impressive tech and was only science fiction a couple of years ago. Also It will put Microsoft to leader status and that makes me happy because they are the pioneers of what we consider next gen gaming. They have better ideas than their competition and always push to the future.

I think most media were negative towards Kinect because the haters were so successful in smearing the image of Natal. Some were even afraid of the armies of rabid PS3 fanboys, anti Microsoft groups and Japanese special interest groups killing their reputations. There is no doubt most mainstream media were being timid.
What's with the Japanese developer crap? They made a mistake and admitted it and now the supposed correct numbers are to believed? The new numbers are still way off. PS3 is the least hottest console it will be a 3rd place console.

That was enjoyable seeing fanboys admit something one day and the next day a article comes along and it was like they never knew the truth ignoring the real data because the fake data made them feel better.
I'm surprised such a well thought out review came from these guys. This is obviously what the developers see and feel when they all agreed to support it. Can't wait to see the fight over who will be king of the "core" Kinect games. I'm sure they will be trying to pioneer this new market like crazy. I can see the Japanese industry trying to regain their top status through this device all the big names are supporting it.
