"But, his push for these changes made him unpopular with some Blizzard employees." He was the president, should have just fired them.
That game looks horrible.
No performance mode = no buy, Capcom have become seriously incompetent with their last few releases. With how bad this and Dragon Dogma 2 look, there is no reason why there isn't a 60fps mode, especially when more visually intensive games do it (and open world ones as well).
It's still not worth 700$ for the little improvements we're getting.
You don't even own what you buy physically, the disk only has a license on it. They can prevent you from playing your physical copy anytime they want if they desire so. All they need is a firmware update to block a specific game. You'd then have the choice to remain on an older version to play the game and lose access to online forever, or update to stay online but lose access to that game. It wouldn't even be illegal to do so either. They likely won't do it because it would c...
You'd have to be monumentally stupid to give those scammers money after what they tried to do last time.
@JackNimble Every single company on the planet, without any exception, would have done the same thing, it's not just Sony. Did you really think they were going to let people get it cheaper by getting PS4 version + upgrade rather than the PS5 version? How stupid can you be?
No, anybody would have done the same thing. What, did you think they were going to let people get the game cheaper by getting the PS4 version for 20$ and then paying 10$ upgrade rather than 50$ for the PS5 version? That would have been stupid on their part.
For all the whining the PC users are doing about this, it won't even matter one bit or hurt Sony in any way. All they're doing is looking stupid since they already have a ton of launchers installed on their machines, but they whine about a login, which you could make using dummy infos? They're a bunch of entitled babies who cry about everything. It's like their parents never told them no when they were kids, now they can't handle rejection like normal men.
Fortunately, with all the sales from Palworld and also some money they made from Craftopia, they have more than enough to fight back against Nintendo and win. Nintendo are dumb trying to bully someone who can fight back.
They won't go multiplatform because Xbox wouldn't help with the sales. In fact it would be so bad that it would likely cost more to port than they would make back.
LOL, there is still people who think Xbox matters and that putting a game on it would help with sales.
Going multiplatform won't even help. Switch (and Switch 2 as well) are underpowered, so you'd have trouble running the game on those.
Xbox is just so irrelevant that it won't give you any boost to your number.
PC is the only other option to boost your numbers. Well not exactly true. Releasing on PS4 would have done it, but you'd be gimping your games.
Leaving the PS4 behind should have been done a year after the release...
This is supposed to be the next big thing? It looks terrible.
It's not a good deal considering the upgrade is so small in term of visuals and performance.
Except this PC will not play games as well as the PS5 Pro. The PS5 Pro is optimized solely for gaming and its games are made for it. That's not the same for this PC. Have fun playing games at 1080p/60fps or 1440p/30fps on this PC, that's all you're getting and with settings lowered as well.
I even saw a guy claiming he built an equivalent with a 3060. Sorry, but if you build something with even a 4060, it's not going to hold up to a PS5 Pro. In fact, a XX60 ...
I bet the normal PS5 will have fidelity and performance mode. I am good with performance mode, it already looks good enough on every games. Not going to spend 700$ for an upgrade with barely any difference to current performance mode.
With the reactions today, I don't think you're going to have to worry about scalpers if you want one, since it's likely not going to be in high demand.
It's good to have hope, but you will only be disapointed. That didn't mean FF16 was coming at all. The fact that it's coming to PC and wasn't announced for Xbox should tell you everything: It's not coming to Xbox at this point. Not that it would matter, it's not like it would sell enough to make up for the amount of money they spent porting it.
I am pretty sure the Switch 2 will be behind the Steam Deck in term of power. The thing will be at about base PS4/Xbox One level.
