Goddamn I'm so glad I sold this game when I did. Predicted more shit like this after the first DLC (and obviously it seems to be getting worse day by day).
Im happy either way but I agree with your last sentence. For me personally, I just wanted a remake (bring it to a modern state, keep alot of the stuff the same, limited voice acting, similar camera angles, TB combat, ect). Its been talked about for so many years now its almost like we (some folks) forgot what we wanted to begin with. Its clearly a reboot, and im excited either way I just hope they dont f*** it up and take away what made it so special to begin with.

Goddamn I can vouch for this. Just got done running through it on steam and I don't care what anyone says, game still holds up to this day and is just as amazing as it was 18 years ago!

Very good point man. Totally agree with you and didn't even think of it that way.
Games as low as $1.99 should not be affected by this. Valve should have at least set a price limit, or something to start out to safe guard games like the ones mentioned in the article. Like, only have it for titles $9.99 and up. Yeah I know there would still be some loose ends to get things perfect, but its a better option as opposed to what Valve has in place atm.
