The 360/ps3 versions are he same price. To answer your qestion, you buy it off of psn/xbl and when you sign in to your ps4/x1 and just download it for free. Alternatively, if you don't think you'll have a ps4 or x1 by the time the offer expires, after you buy it on 360/ps3 you can go to the psn website or xbox.com and redeem your free upgrade. That way you'll have it when you upgrade to next gen. I did that with bf4 on ps4 can't wait to get a ps4 to go with mu x1 in feb =)
