Do you get to keep the DLC after your subscription ends or are you just renting DLC for a year??? If its renting for a year then its not worth it for me.

Only thing I think BF3 needs is a way everyone can chat with each other. Because I think is good for the game when teams can "add fuel to the fire" for better competition. IMO

DLC should be a Thank you to the consumer for buying the game new and encourage others to buy the game as well...
Because if a consumer sells the game, then he wasn't satisfied with the game in the 1st place and they have the right to try and recoup their money back.
Now if a consumer gets this game brand new but doesn't buy the DLC he will be split from the community and the lobbies will get smaller. And that consumer will most likely try and sell the game.
"But what about the hard working developers, they won't get a profits."
Well they should have all FREE DLC, they would make more money in the long run & hurt the used game market.

Good article, made some good points. I think one of the main reasons some people play COD so much is the interaction with so many people, talking, fighting, laughing at or with them. Even though I think BF3 is a better game, you only talk to your squad.....if your lucky. And that can get boring if its a quite lobby.
So sometimes I just get on COD just to hear something funny or have someone talk shit so I can pwned em'

I think this will hurt the game sales in the long run. DLC, DRM, Online Passes are killing the gaming industry.
I was alittle disappointed with the BodyCount demo, how it played, the graphics were sub-par. I'm going to pass on this
How ever the 40K WarHammer Space Marine demo was AMAZING!!
I think WarHammer will be this years Sleeper Hit. So much fun, so much BLOOD and the story seems to be what I want in a game.

That was the #1 reason why they don't need to make a motion picture. A movie would be an insult and possibly end up ruining the epic-ness of this franchise.

Why can't people realise that these companies are trying to "Double Dip"? Every used copy was once sold as new at retail price.
If I buy something that I'm not satisfied with, I should have the right to sell it as I see fit. And when I do sell the game, it's less than what I paid for it. So I take a loss, not the Companies, They've gotten their money off top.

The developers do get money from used games, $60 per copy!!! They also get money from rentals, guess how much?? $60 per copy!!
I'm tired of hearing about developers complaining about used sales money, especially since every used copy that you see was purchased at retail price. And for what ever reason the 1st buyer wanted their money back.

The player that bought the game 1st isn't playing anymore because he sold the game.
So I guess if when they shut down the server to your precious game, they really should give you some money back, since you can't play what you paid for anymore.

All used copies were once NEW. So the Devs see their money off top. I've been burned to many times buying sucky games new, So rent 1st. If its a great game I will buy it, if not I won't. But even with the rented game I play, someone bought it full price and the Devs got their money.

I guess they are betting that everyone who buys this is going to get the next COD next year anyway so they can start the process all over again, so you won't need to buy the DLC, just rent it for a year... Buy new COD & rent DLC for a year, rinse & repeat.
