I see it more as TPP online rather than as MGO3. No way TPP's mechanics can emulate MGS4's gameplay style (which mgo2 was based on)
Go away enabler. The industry is bad enough as it is because of blind fanboys like you. I love MGS more than any other gane seres, and this game is incomplete and terribly contrived. The gameplay is best in the series, but every single mission is exactly the same damn thing over and over again so what good is quality gameplay in this case? And the story was a steaming pile of horse crap of the likes that even D-Horse couldn't replicate. This game clearly needed another 2 years.
The game mechanics of tpp are so vastly different from mgs 4,that I cannot see it being the same or similar enough. I'm seeing this new mgo as Phantom Pain Online (PPO) not as a direct sequel to mgo2.

Dude Peace Walker was a major set up for this game. Not playing Peace Walker is exactly WHY you were unprepared for the changes in the series. The changes are necessary because of the massive legend behind Big Boss and Miller (him having a Global Impact and controlling a powerful army while obtaining Nukes). Why would they raise it, just to have the difference be eaten up by MORE free games that nobody asked for? If they raise it, it likely is to imptove the servers that everyone complains about. But it certainly wouldn't be to give us more games that we never asked for. Raise the price to add more random games? I rather spend my money buying specific games that I want to purchase.

It is more expensive to keep running servers on ps3 for a game whose community is dead. To port it is not expensive since it is already made. Just needs a quick shine and polish for ps4. But I will give you credit, it wasn't as popular as warhawk
How is it any less AAA by making a last gen game free to play? Besides, they can seel the story seperately. Like yhey did with Uncharted 3
