Something similar has happened with both Mass Effect Andromeda and Anthem. They had issues but they're still really great games.

So the game is superb but microtransactions make you lower the score to a nonensical amount.
I hate DLC. I hate microtransactions. But a good game is a good game. Reviews like this are just dumb.

It wasn't super hardcore advertised but it also wasn't quiet either. I don't even want to read the review from someone who isn't even aware of just how hyped up this game has been.

Exactly. The game is really good. It launched with issues but the insane amount of hate has been completely nonsensical.

I find it ridiculous that the article does not have the actual context for which the player was banned. Are you trying to make people feel sorry for him? I have no doubt he deserved it.
Shady business practices are not the same thing as a game being good or bad.
