As for the downgrade in graphics. The 360 has recently had a lot of their normal games cut to sub HD just to get them to run.
If you bought your PS3 to play games and watch BR movies legally you have nothing to fear. If you're a scammer it just made your life more difficult.
If they do that. I would just rent the game for $5 to try it out, if I was really interested in it. I don't think I would ever pay for a demo.

Well 1 disc instead of 3 and 720p instead of 576p are heavily in the PS3 versions favour.

Well I guess that depends on your opinion. I have played them both and I think FF XIII is a far better game. LO had a good battle system. I played it in 1920x1080 on my PC and even that didn't help the graphics that much. The story was terrible.
You know there is a reason why it's sales never reached a million.
I would say move the unit to a country that isn't run buy a dictator. I know lowering power consumption is a priority but if this country was a proper democracy other counties would be more willing to help with their power constraints.
I'm with you Pennywise. I really like 3D and I think gaming in 3D is going to be great.
