RE2 is first times that Leon and Claire experience B.O.Ws so it make sense why game didn't have action so much in remake.
RE3 on the others hand is make series start more action oriented gameplay before complete in RE5 or 6
Jill was experience B.O.Ws from mansion. so that why capcom add dodge system and nemesis who can use armed weapons like bazooka. i dont think capcom gonna remove those element on RE3 Remake.

You need go back sewers and check the map there're bar door that need T valve to open (don't forget carry all the plugs)

All 4 Story Fight the same boss (G1,2,3) on the same location,encounter mr.x in rpd and have similar cutscene with sherry mom in the lab before fight G3.

Leon fight super tyrant,claire fight G4.
and B Character continue fight G5 after that.
Interesting, A Remake seem will improve/expanded the story from original (Issac likely can speak in Remake) and add Lore (reference/link) from the sequel, spin-off, animate movie, comic, novel, etc.
