The 360 was a game-centric machine as well until they filled it with bs towards the end of its cycle. I feel that all MS had to do was look at the history of video games to solve the current gen console war: games.
Right. And everyone was willing to pay $900-$1000 for the consoles in 2013.

Don't know what settings you played the game at or maybe you just saw some Youtube video pointing out the flaw. I've beaten the game from normal to the hardest level. From my experience: the AI flanks you when they have a sense of your location. They'll start lobbing grenades or molotovs at times when they know your location. Step on glass or water, the clickers know your location because they're based on sound.

Depending on the dev. After TLOU, Bloodborne, and UC4, it appears most of the upcoming PS4 1st party titles are targeting gameplay.
From my experience, it felt like a nightmarish nap. Once you're immersed in the demo, it's like you're in REM mode. When the demo ends and they remove the headset from me, it felt like I just woke up from my nap feeling a bit disoriented as I regain reality. I can't wait to be a bad ass x-wing or fighter jet pilot!

When FPS's were introduced, some people were nauseous from playing or watching, but that didn't stop millions of people from enjoying them.
What I admire console devs is that we get to see the creative wizzards work their magic on inferior(if compared to PC gaming), fixed hardware. Creativity at its finest. If it's about keeping up with the latest hardware, we might only see games like the Order 1886 or Quantum Break where the graphics are amazing, Ai, physics, and that's it.
It's not a trend yet, but what if it does come to that?

Ahaha, I might have to agree with that. I think MW3 was mostly built on rehashed levels from MW, MW2, and WAW. Just some adjustments and placements of the AI here and there, re-skin some of the maps and you've got MW3.
For VR, they're probably waiting for one dev to prove that VR can be a success in FPS with sales; then Treyarch will be all over it.

Phil clearly mentioned about how minimal impact DX12 will do for the X1, but it's been a year for the PC sector and there's minor improvement; it's still a wait-and-see for PC. Which reminds me, about last years E3 - Augment Reality another tech we won't see anytime soon. Maybe 2018?

I don't think so. I feel this gen they're so focused on hardware and tech that they're forgetting their roots - games. Halo, Crimson Skies, Mech Warrior, to name a few were my highlights of the Xbox. Then the 360 which had Dead Rising, Forza 2, Gears of War, Halo 3, and Ace Combat: Fires of Liberty, and some exclusive JRPGs (Lost Odessy? Blue Dragon?).
This gen I see arrogance at the reveal followed by sequels and lots of BS about tech (still waiting on the cloud, DX12, ...
My immersion for the game went out the window I encountered a zombie with octopus like limbs...
Man, it would be awesome if it supports co-op (10+ players), and we will have ourselves a Starship Troopers game lol.
