You didn't get the update for Eve? I tried it couple days ago and there was a patch that I downloaded and the image quality was better.
As a fan of checkerboard rendering, yup I'm a believer now, i'm ok with them not targeting native 4K but just enough to make the game look gorgeous while the entire game runs smooth. And custom tracks would be nice.
I can also confirm that. When playing Battlefield 4 on the PS4, I can see soft edges even when siting 10ft from my 65inch 4K tv. But right now, playing games like COD: IW, BF1, Titan Fall 2, Ratchet and Clank, 2nd Son, and other games that I have tested on IQ, I'm having a hard time looking for soft edges. I even tried standing up close to the TV to look for jaggies which just gave up on and went back to playing the games instead.

Yeah, Sony don't need to step up their game. There are so many games out right now with VR and Pro. I need time to soak in the newly released games and along with the upgrade patches for the Pro and VR. Releasing say Horizon now would be overkill. Look at Titan Fall 2 being drowned out by BF1 and COD..

First time hooking up the Pro and tried to transfer files from PS4 to to Pro, the TV went black. Couldn't get it to display after restarting the machine. Tried to switch to the PS4 screen and still black. Can hear the audio. I thought my TV screen burned out, until I was able to get to the TV settings menu. Set the input for the Pro to output 4:4:4 and bam, everything works properly. Even the display settings on the Pro now detects my TV as 4K with the option for 420 or RGB.

Playing BF1 on the Pro with the HDR TV does give it a dramatic effect, imo.
Wow, that is fast. My 7200rpm HD is 3 times slower(?) but that didn't bother me.
Damn, I miss Bloodborne. Went online two weeks ago to help some people with bosses, was able to help a few after hopping several locations for for hrs, but saw a bunch of phantoms standing around which I think were waiting for someone to call for help as well, lol. :(

Although i agree with Sony focusing their machine on games first, I feel that maybe they didn't include the UHD drive to meet the early release date which is today instead of maybe Spring 2017 and priced at $430-450.
About last gen, including a blu-ray drive may cost the PS3 $600, but didn't they believe that DVDs will be obsolete in storage? The 360 required multiple dics for some games where as the PS3 only needed one throughout the entire gen.

Yes, 4K gaming isn't as exciting if you have sight problems and don't plan on correcting them.
