Just had a discussion with my coworkers on this game and they had a difficult time with Trico, I didn't because I have a dog - trying to hint where I want him to be or go and eventually Trico picks up just like my dog. Interesting game so far, just not a fan of the controls.
Man, that hyper jump, cruising with other x-wing fighters, wings open for battle, and the sound of the Tie Fighters and their barrage of lasers and seeing the Star Destroyer up close... Epic.

I played it on the Pro so I thought the background images are all right. The voice actor they put in sounded like Luke from Episode 4, but still, I rather they not put in the voice, but leave R2 or 3's communication sounds..
Also, it may be 1 mission but I think it took them probably 6-8 months to make after meeting with Lucas Arts/Disney for permission, rights etc, getting Criterion to get VR working properly.

If you look at the history of video games, it's usually the games that help the console dominate the generation. Power alone did little: Atari Jaguar, Xbox, Neo Geo, N64, etc.

It's not about the life span, but more about the games. Xbox had a good amount of titles released for it (Halo, Crimsone Skies, etc), but PS2 already had a huge backing of exclusives which set the record for the sales of PS2.

I starting to suspect that part of the enjoyment of this game will depend on how you interact/build a connection with Trico.
Besides complaints about frames and controls, I wonder if the ratings are based on how sophisticated AI/Trico interacts with the user. Some people interact well with animals where's as others are just plan bad.
Guess I'll find out tomorrow for my experience.

Highly recommend people with 4K TVs and high speed connection to watch the trailer in 1440p or 4K. Amazzzzzzing! Wasn't hyped about Sport at the early trailer, but this latest one got me.

Great observation, but I think they were after Joel and Ellie because the last corpse in the same room with Ellie has the same clothing (hoody and jacket) as the thugs from part one. Also, there's fresh blood all over Ellie as if she just fought off those guys.
I might need a man-diaper for this.
Hopefully there's a tour mode where there's no dogfighting, just pick a beautiful location and your favorite jet and cruise the area in VR.
