Not yet. Rare are hard at work at SOMETHING...question is what? Perfect Dark Zero 2 for Natal? That would be cool...
Ah, Assassin's Creed 2...can't wait.
@ Dark Witness
Some very good points there.
I personally am an Assassin's Creed vista fan over GTA's city, but either you have a stylised open city or you do the hard work to make it look as good as possible. I think open world games are difficult to make because they really need to take their time and get the gameplay missions as well as the look right.
Yeah you certainly couldn't complain about the length of Lost Odyssey if you like your games long! And it had personality!
Another open world game set in New York City (sigh). Nope, no thanks. He may have a hoodie and hooked fingers, but I'd rather bat-ears or a spandex red suit with webbing....or a robotic shell, or...
It's great so many JRPGS are on 360 this gen!
Gametrailers had Forza 3 the race game of the E3 show and it does look great.
Some nice cars there...
If I don't want to put the whole disc on my PS3 there is still plenty of load times: MGS4? Killzone 2? Besides what has loading times have to do with L4D2? I don't remember huge loading times on L4D?
It seems to be a big issue with PC games unfortunately. If it's easy and there's a why pay attitude, then that's what will happen.
Well...and hopefully because it'll be a great game...
Yeah I'm pretty surprised that there wasn't new info on the Half Life stuff, but I'm sure there will be...
Great article and explanation on why Valve doesn't do PS3 games (well).
I personally am very much looking forward to Left 4 Dead 2 and the improvements they make. I mean Ubisoft does GRAW then GRAW 2 shortly after, Rainbow Six Vegas then Rainbow Six Vegas 2 shortly after...I don't see any problem as long as the game is a good length and offers something new.
Not all new 'content' needs to be download only for goodness sake! If there's enough on the disc to be worth...
I think nobody really knows what to expect from Need For Speed anymore! It's all over the shop.
But then I liked the old Burnouts before Paradise...and I think I'm in the minority who preferred them.
Well considering GT5 has shown video at 4 E3s without giving a release date, we'll only really know when the game ships to compare.
Forza 3 sounds like they've really wanted to keep the game a simulator for the hardcore, but also make some features that make it easier for others...he said my 6 year old could play it without frustration, and he LOVES cars.
Great interview.
Destroy! The demo was pretty fun, but I thought it all looked a bit bland. The diversity of what you can do looks like this will be a hit and it was under my radar up to now!
I love street art. But Red Faction is about destroying things!!! I doubt her art will survive very long when people realise that!
@ OZ
There looks to be two collector's editions in OZ
1) White version which will have making of, white box, and white Ezio figurine $AUD 110-$120
2) LE EB black version which will have black Ezio figurine, art book, soundtrack, a few bonus in-game areas and missions, black box, and a few other tid-bits. $AUD 150
I agree with OP.
All the big Sony games have been seen before (and yes they do look amazing) and some didn't even get given a release date. (Still none on GT? 4 E3s later?). No PS3 slim, no price cut, no surprises; even the promising PSP GO! wasn't a surprise and still doesn't have a second analogue stick to make me upgrade from my 2000. Lots of cool games though.
MS had some good new footage of games like SC: Conviction, and new announcements like L4D2 and MGS, ...
I'd love to know the percentage of games that make it to market that were listed for 360...
Is it the economic downturn or is it the rise in gaming standards with the big publishers putting out mega games that dwarf interest in the little guys? Is it just too hard if you're not Ubi, EA, Activision etc.??
