Yo momma is so fat, when she eates a cake..
..I'm sorry, that's all I got.
But yeah, the 'cake-joke' needs to die already. It's just not funny.
I love Portal though!
Then they should call it such, and not UE3. Plus, Wikipedia calls it the Crystal Engine as well! :P
Edit: Doing some research I found that this engine is NOT build on UE3. Deus Ex 1 and 2 used Unreal Engine (IW used a modified UE2). So I'd be curious as to what your source is?!
This is incorrect. It uses the 'Crystal Engine'.
Nintendo just hasn't got any games I'm interested in. Both Sony and MS showed nothing new I'm excited about, but the 'usual suspects':
Killzone 3, Halo Reach, Portal, Gears 3 all look killer! Kevin butler was funny, but other than that, it was all a bit meh.
Kinect looks like sh*t, Move wasn't all that impressive either. MS conference had too much Kinect crap going on, Sony had too much boring bla bla.
Overal though, ...
Killzone 3 looks absolutely stunning! This along with Crysis 2 and Bullestorm are my E3 favs so far!
Microsoft disappoints again at E3. Timed exclusive Downloadable contect, followed by the almost yearly franchises, followed by "Casual Carnage". Ugh, very disappointing.
Halo Reach and Gears look awesome though, but that's about it.
So he moves seamlessly from one crappy animation to another? Impressive, lol.
I'm not playing any game atm, just finished..oh wait, you were being sarcastic. That's pretty clever of you, kudos! ;)
Yes, Alan Wake's animations are also laughable. Probably a close second after Cole.
And it's not really about fluidity or not. It's about the fact that Cole moves and runs like a complete retard. His stances are also very disturbing. I really can't understand what the hell the team responsible for the animations were thinking?!
They can fix his awful animations. I've never seen a videogame character move (and especially run) so awkward!
Coca Cola owns Sony, you're such a stealth-fanboy! ;)
If done properly, it could be awesome. Have you seen that short episode from the 'Purchase Brothers' on Youtube? Granted, the acting was shit and it was a very low-budget clip. But, it also shows that a Half-Life movie could potentially be very awesome!
It's just the director mentioned here that bothers me.
No, I think you misunderstood (or I wasn't clear enough).
I get the function of the 'orb', but I just don't get why it has to be that shape, and why it can't be incorporated into the controller a bit more subtle.
Edit: Thinking about it, I suppose the eye has to be able to detect the 'orb' from extreme angles as well, perhaps that's the reason for it's shape and it's 'detached' look.
The add is still pretty funny, but I'm not yet convinced by Move. I'd have to try it for myself to get a proper feel for it. It's definitely more interesting than Natal though, which I expect to be a complete failure.
I just don't get why Sony had to make the controller so ugly, with that weird ball ontop. Perhaps there's a technical reason for it, but whatever. It just looks awkward and distracting.
The multiplayer is great fun. That's why. Every day, hundreds of thousands (maybe even millions) of gamers still play the game. That's got to mean something, no?
Sure, I myself prefer COD4. But that doesn't mean the MP of Halo isn't fun. I enjoyed the Halo Reach beta as well. You have to have played it for a bit to get why people enjoy Halo MP so much.
Halo single player campaigns are immensly overrated though.
Wait a minute,
The guy posts 2 gameplay videos, adds a sentence saying: "Hey look, here are two gameplay vids"..
..and that's supposed to be a comparison?!
Hell, I think even I could pull that off!
I don't know, but all I'm getting from Natal is failure, failure, failure.
I really don't get this move by Microsoft. Speaking of 'Move', Sony's dildo is almost as bad. Atleast that has a controller though I guess (albeit the most atrocious looking controller ever).
That would be awesome. I'm really looking forward to Episode 3!
I actually would want them to skip episode 3 and continue the story in Half Life 3 running on a new engine, but this will have to do and probably wouldn't make much sense from a developers standpoint.
I just want to see a new Half Life revolutionizing FPS's like HL1 and HL2 did. HL3 running on a new engine can't be anything but pure awesomeness!
I played the PC version.
And yes, graphics are a BIG deal to me. So are controls, animations, sound fx, cinematic approach etc. All those elements have been drastically (!) improved over the years since Deus Ex was released. Improved textures and a resolution boost is hardly going to make up for all that.
It's just the way it is, games evolve. I really don't get why it's so hard to understand that?! People think you can play a game from so man...
I have tried that not too long ago, but just couldn't get into it, it's just too dated for me. I know many people can pick up a game from 10 years ago and enjoy it, me personally, I can't.
Doesn't mean I can't appreciate the game for what it was though, but it's mechanics (controls/aiming, animations, visuals etc) are just a bit too dated now.
The game looks awesome indeed! (Running) animations, although vastly improved, are still a bit iffy.
Otherwise, the game looks great. The pacing is fantastic!
