We all want better and better graphics, I used to judge games by the graphics, but after playing several recent games with great graphics that turn out to be very boring, I want first fun!. I will gladly give up some graphics for larger more playable/interact-able maps, better story lines and characters etc. I think the graphics shown in the trailer look fine, if the game play is amazing I have no Issue with it. Now I have gone back and played GTA SA, man I had no Idea how bad those graphic...
If I was EA, I would not be worried about Pirates costing me money on my game, as discussed above, it really does not apply to BF3, But I would be seriously looking at hackers in the servers. It only takes a few hackers to put off hundreds or thousands of players, Piss people off and get the word spread to not buy the game due to hackers screwing up the game. So ya, I predict Hackers will cost EA sales for sure, there are already news articles up about how hackers are ruining the game alrea...
I guarantee you there are many EA employees, including makers of BF3 that have and Do pirate stuff off of the net. Watching videos on non commercial sites, downloading music from youtube or what ever. I do not condone it, but let ye cast the first stone....

1. Like most Pirated games. BF3 can not be played online, only in single player mode. Who the hell is going to say, Oh I was going to buy Battlefield 3 but no I will just pirate it and forget about the Online play.? BF3 is all about the online play.
