I think if people saw the price tag of what it costs MS to build each console, the $600 or so would suddenly seem cheap. They can sell cheap but still need to make a good profit, that is where things like Xbox live subscriptions and the such make the console cost well under a grand. Maybe they should offer them for free as part of a gaming subscription service. Like cable tv does, you rent the equipment for a few bucks a month or nothing and pay a respectable monthly bill to MS to be able to...
I have friends that swore if cigarettes went to $3 a pack, they would quit smoking, no way they were going to pay that much. Today, they still smoke and pay about double that. They know people want it badly and people will pay. Eventually the feeling of being left out while all your buddies are having a great time gaming together or you seeing all the great exclusive games will most likely cause you to one day say FK it and buy one. or so this will be for most that resist at first.
So one guy has scorpio, the other has the PC equivalent. Now several years go by and the next console comes out, the first guy has to fork out another what? $600 or more to upgrade to the new console? Whereas the guy with the pc could have already upgraded his current pc the the new console equivalent or better for less, so over time the console guy is paying more for his gaming experience. Lets not forget about all those poor bastards who have a console that dies on them, remember the xbox...

The game started out strong, love the feel and visuals, really liked the early 70's themed props. The problem is the game gets very repetitive and boring. Just go there and turn that on, now go there and turn that on, now go put this there.
all this time in game is in the same place with all the rooms looking the same, and it just gets dull.

if this game is like dayz where you can kill and loot other players then what is the problem? How much more satisfying it will be to take loogt from someone that paid money for it. Awesome.
