The irony in this strategy is that, in my opinion, the best way of countering used game sales is to provide more content for new games (doesn't have to be much at all) with a more reasonable price. They might make less on each game, but I'm sure overall would make more profit.
Why would EA care about you paying for Xbox Live though? They're the ones providing the servers for FIFA, NBA games etc. - not Microsoft or Sony. It's not surprising they want full price for their games.
This might suck for consumers, but it is understandable why they've done it.
Just to clarify, I'm not saying I agree with the method they're using - I can just see the reasoning behind their actions.
You must live with your eyes closed then. PS3 fanboys have no doubt fueled the fire, but where did it all start? You're probably one of them.
Do Want!
Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn!
Ah, that is a valid point. I had not gone online on (excluding PC) consoles at the time the gap was greatest, but regardless, the difference in features is not important to me.
Logical stuff. This doesn't mean much in terms of 360vPS3 multi-plat game quality, that difference will remain negligible, regardless of whether it's favouring the 360 or the PS3.
But this does look like it will stop any Bayonetta fiascos from happening again..
That's what I was saying, why the disagrees lol?
I think the funny thing with me is that had Sony charged a fee for PSN alongside Xbox Live, I wouldn't have minded so much. The difference between the two are negligible, so the fee seemed unreasonable since PSN was free.
I do see them introducing a universal paid online service... with the PS4. Imagine the backlash of enforcing payment to play online halfway through the lifecycle of the console? It isn't feasible. Hence they will introduce the paid service with the PS4.
Obviously 84 is not a bad score. The issue here is the disappointment following excessive hype.
He is indeed misinformed. Numbers aren't definite but the UK is certainly a bigger market than Germany. A post above gives the breakdown, and its clear. That's not to say the UK is more important than Europe though, obviously.
Maybe because his purchases aren't dictated by reviewers?
Wow.. Eurogamer is having a real go at Modnation Racers.

Only sites to give lower than an 8.
People shouldn't be so surprised at a 10 from Edge, its not like its on the PS3.
Pretty disappointing.
This is VG Chartz. But the chances are that they're behind rather than ahead (VG Chartz I mean). I expect this happened a short while ago at least.
Amazing! /faints
I have actually heard a fair number of complaints (arguably unfairly). I don't think the issue is that the game is bad - but it is different to other Halo's.
