I was barely entertained enough to finish the first one, not because it didn’t have some GOOD GAMEPLAY & ideas, it did. But, the combos/ best way to tackle each situation was too similar- too often jumping R2 was the answer. As well, just because you’re making a Souls-esque game doesn’t mean you have to create a story in the same piecemeal style. True, & Microsoft gets to use Sony's image sensors as part of the deal. I think my point is, Sony does need this because they’re planning for the future, not because they immediately need it to survive... so I don’t think Sony would join in on an embarrassing ad like that.
