lol your right about that being a funny thing to say. Tell me how did blu-ray beat hd-dvd besides the extra studios/better memory? oh that's right the ps3 plays blu-rays add in the fact that they own the tech behind it and are probably starting to make a hefty profit off of it.
And i find it funny that they are posting the hit they took on the ps3 hardware but there is no info on the profits they make off the software discs they sell.
Also i guess that is all you c...
i'll wait 2-4 weeks before buying it, and see whether or not the host advantage was fixed as Epic is claiming it will be, if host advantage is still there i probably wont be buying this game tbh.
the most important part about this tech is this "This also means the developers are able to fit more data onto the disk due to the data compression."
meaning 50gigs just got a whole lot bigger in the developing world hopefully more devs will utilize this space (they havent yet except for mgs )
@bigshynepo i hope your right about that too draw distances and graphics could get an upgrade as well if file access times are improved
@everyone i'm just...
vyse and aika from skies of arcadia really has me interested in the game even tho it doesnt even have the same gameplay.
I hope that skies of arcadia 2 releases for ps3 as well as the other consoles i really want to play it.
In fact i might buy this game to help sega see that their rpg's will sell well in other words give ps3 owners skies of arcadia 2
i agree with what you said, also if at all possible i would rather sony dont buy any 3rd party exclusives and just saves up the money and buys out a dev studio outright, the longterm investment would be better than short gains like level 5 for example?
Msoft should do the same 50mil on download content? buy a freaking studio for crying out loud with that money i wonder how many studios msoft could own right now if they had saved their money and spent it on aquiring them instead...
i am going to buy little big planet i always wanted to make my own games without the enormous hassle that is programming i have always loved level editors in games especially the the level editor in tenchu 2 (why would they ruin such a good series?) for playstion 1 that was great and fun.
i know what you mean, when soul calibur 2 released for ps2 the dreamcast version Soul Calibur 1 that was released earlier pretty much competed with it head to head and you could hook it up to a vga box and get a way better resolution to boot. Many of the games just looked great
@littletad i partly blame msoft for dreamcast's failure and why is it so convenient that msoft came out with a console after dreamcast's failure? The only reason they have some sega games is because the...
casual gaming is the public only supports one casual machine, the hardcore will support all 3 if they can. Think about it, which is safer making a console that your same loyal fanbase buys every generation or hoping that your console is the casuals choice because i guarantee you they will not buy both systems only one can be king in the casual market because casuals buy the most popular everything is just considered an offbrand.
Shenmue and Skies of Arcadia are one of my favorites
@machines sonic adventure 1 was great the world map should have been expanded upon instead it was cast aside, after sonic adventure 1 tho it went downhill hard mainly because they thought they had to add more features to sonic and more characters it should have just been more interesting environments and they would have been fine also the voice acting and story should have just been removed if you cant do it right.
"What feedback did you receive from the multiplayer modes in Gears 1?
People loved it but they didn't like the host advantage. They got tired of the shotgun inconsistencies. We're fixing all of that."
That is what he said, they are fixing it, wow they of course dont say how, i'm going to wait until i see it. Not one game Epic has made for console runs smoothly online. I like gears a lot and will enjoy playing online i hope that the shotgun stays as pow...
your off on two counts first off why would you hate on the psn when its konami's servers that run mgo blame konami for not using sony's dedicated servers, secondly resistance and warhawk use sony's servers and they run very well in fact there is little to no lag and are miles better than p2p servers. Secondly although these games have dedicated servers you can still host matches using your ps3 as a dedicated server and not play or play and use p2p, only the official games run dedicated server...
is true because i will at least play the japanese demo of it which will tide me over until the game releases in NA
iw pulled a fast one on treyarch, they probably didn't tell treyarch what they were doing and treyarch found out too late. Treyarch probably spent months planning the concept art, storyline, features, where they wanted the series to go and when cod4 released outside of ww2 trearch was left with a decision restart and lose months of planning or go ahead and release the game ON TIME. I think that they made the right decision activision wouldnt have been really sympathetic to a delay.

square this is one decision i can get behind, hopefully (big on the hope) we can be playing ff 13 by christmas. At least get it done before killzone comes out then i'd be happy
talk about a dedicated fanboy because msoft has the best they are entitled to charge $50 a year? and you should be thankful i think that they are overcharging way too much.
And what does that say about msoft before it cost money but then all of a sudden it doesnt because sony caught up? Obviously it didnt cost them that much to begin with if they dont have to charge.
But i will agree that msoft will drop to equal to remove the the edge from sony and if they dont...
how much is good pr and having a competitive edge worth? i bought the ps3 partially because the online is free. Its also good for people when they compare it to other consoles tell me how would sony have done in its early years if psn also cost money on top of the costly initial price? I think it would have done even worse. Also adding a cost to psn is a PR nightmare i'll tell you ill be a little angry if it does and i think sony knows it too.
wrong question to ask, you should be asking how long will xbl cost money?
seriously psn has more games that use dedicated servers, so xbl is getting you what? and i seriously doubt a team of workers are hired to make sure you get messages and voice chat that is software that does that. And even if said team is hired the ammount you pay should get you way more than that in fact i think msoft makes enough to get you guys dedicated servers for at least its own exclusive games if ...
I'm not that rich either, i'm a poor college student. But i research what to buy. The 360 had 50$ a year for playing online i knew that it was actually cheaper for me to have a ps3 in the long run so i went and bought a 60 gig. So far its been almost two years, the hundred dollars i would have spent on online almost makes the price equeal now. And if msoft continues to make people pay it will make the 360 cost more for me to keep. And before i'm flooded with you could have just not paid for o...
unreasonbly high price? i dont pay 50 bucks a year for my online service and if i own my ps3 for 5 years thats $250 i saved as opposed to your console i think i'll stick to free online. So far i've already saved 100$. and the money count is only rising on how much i save and increasing if you play online which i do.
Lack of games argument was weak months ago how about this where the f is your stealth action game i got mgs4 and you have splinter... oh wait.
