besides the ridiculous customization and the addition of yoda as a cheap character/possible dlc (hope not dont want him on my ps3) that throws off the balanced fighting Soul Calibur sustained for three different games,
the saving grace was online and the only real reason to buy it, the ps3 version better be using sony's dedicated servers or i may not even buy it at all if it runs poorly online for the ps3

i would have felt a little better if square had said that they would not compromise the quality and then start thinking of porting after the ps3 japan version is done.
sadly they have never given this guarantee of quality and i think that it will not be as good as it could have been. It will suffer the fate of all multiplatform games.
they have a japanese version with english subtitles/ menus as an option, i would import it no matter the extra cost

sorry but i just cant play a game with these kind of random junk matches i'll stick to street fighter 4, or soul calibur 4 even though the only reason to own it is the online mode

i still talk about FF7 that is single player
in fact i would argue people forget games that have great online easier because they just get the next big online game but people always remember a good story
they pick a good level to really showcase the game but not show too much at the same time

to be honest that is what came to my mind, after seeing gameplay for infamous i decided to buy that as my next sandbox title, i guess i'd rather shoot some lightning and run on the side of building and stuff for a change

my only major complaint is that the online portion people use auto aim what is the point of auto aim for online play? it just shows who locks on first, if the auto aim was completely removed from online i would be happy. I play matches only if auto aim is off
the single player does get boring after you finish the story but that is what online is for imo

its a sad day in the gaming world when 3-4 failures is understandable for a console and nothing to hold a company responsible for and just keep sticking by them.
an option to pay for the ps3 not to have yoda at all. he is a cheap character that ruins gameplay, as someone who is a fan of soul calibur i'm really angry that yoda is added at all to any version.
I would rather ps3/360 have vader and no yoda because he trhows off the balance of the game.
If this game didn't have online play i wouldn't even be buying it imo the series has gone downhill no matter what reviewers say.
