PS3 is an Amazing piece of hardware, the completely different architecture of PS3 makes comparing it to PC difficult and inaccurate, but still I believe that a high end 2006 PC will easily outperform PS3.

People are not seeing the bigger picture here, Playstation 3 is outselling or at least on par with the Xbox despite the $100 different.. I am talking WW sales.

about the US the Xbox is selling better only because it is cheaper, advertised more. and Kinect did wonders for MS or I'd rather say(half billion dollars Ad)

I don't mind using the cell processor, but developers seem to struggle when developing for it, and it seems like they can't get the most of it.
I hope Sony introduce a modified CELL processor that is easy to develop for + Ultra powerful.

designing a CPU or GPU is not an easy task, you need a company that devoted their business in this field.
Sony is a huge company and they could build their own CPU or GPU but that would need a huge R&D facility + huge amount of money and still the result won't be as good as nVidia or Intel offerings because it is simply not Sony game to do this.

Just make a game that I can simply play, if I want to do some tweaks I would have done on PC.
I prefer gaming on consoles because it is simple, on PC you have to check the system requirement and update some stuff...I just want to play.
