I might understand that if Gears sold poorly, but it sold almost 4 million in one week which is $240m, thats called GREED and gamers shouldn't allow such actions. lets see how gaming journalism handle this story, I expect a pass myself because gaming journalism will be busy shredding Sony apart for reducing consoles accounts from 5 to 2, lets wait and see.
also compare what Epic is Doing with Polyphony Digital, PD kept releasing huge improvements all year including Spec 2...

I agree with you, its strange how people views change in mere seconds,anyway I hope GTA V turns to be a good game.
nothing new, I'm quite confident that 360 install base is at 25 million max. almost every 360 owner has multiple consoles.
I like how 360 boys turn civilized when sales aren't in their favor.
the question you should ask is: how could PS3 catch up to 360 despite the year and half headstart and huge price advantage ?
I agree with you that sales doesn't matter, but I expect to see you commenting about how dominant 360 is in USA during this holidays and surprisingly sales does matter that time. time will tell.
I have a strong feeling that GTAV would turn out like IV, too much hype, boring after 1 hour.

*PS3 launch reduction due to blue diode fault from (2m to 500K)
*competing against a competition with huge price advantage and 1 year headstart (1.5 in europe)
*being shredded to pieces from the media in the first 3 years in the market
*$600 price (almost $200 loss in every unit) for implementing future proof tech (Blu-ray, cell)
* major PSN hack
*earthquake in Japan
and still outperforming...
