I personally enjoyed it and actually did not focus on the pikmin at all.
Yeah, a lot of the announcements this year were rehashed from last year, with not much brought to the table, sadly. :/
For the record - I'd like to stress that I don't want to bash against any of these other games. I've played them and they're all exceptional in their own ways. I dunno, I just felt that BOTW is one of those... once a generation type games for me.

Even with the damn Exp. Share I was still getting stomped on some trials. I haven't had to use the Pokémon Center that much since like ever.
They've added even more magic this time around. They'll have a lot of fun.

I've always enjoyed the stuff they bring out. What was a disappointing past two years seems to be looking up a bit now.
I think the best part is they caught everyone's attention without the need to hop onto a giant media stage event. The media comes to them in these instances.
The Wii U isn't a bad console by any means, actually. The good games it does have are actually, well, for lack of a better term, really darn good. I think it's just been misconceived as a Wii accessory or upgrade rather than a separate console idea.
Seems like they're much more receptive to third parties this time.
The Vita might even have to be give up at this point. Looks like that but much better.
Who else can even think of novel ideas like this at this point in the game?
This has a lot of interesting possibilities behind the concept; that combined with the supporting partners makes this a pretty big deal. Best they don't miss the opportunity here.
First time in a long, long time that I've been interested in the company. Finally time to dust off the nintendo wallet and get ready to spend on that.
