Truth is there were many gaming pcs that were better as soon as 360 and ps3 came out but handheld devices are barely catching up to ancient technology. When I hear about a handheld beating a gtx 680in the same year it was released for PC then let me know. :P
Final fantasy 7,8,9,10, and only by association with 10...10-2 were phenomenal games. Not overrated at all.

This is how gaming originally started. I consider angry birds an arcade game. I also remember super mario world being like an arcade game. Donkey kong was too. This is the origin of gaming. Gaming has gotten complex as the years have gone by but it's good these games exist to relieve the stress some of the hardcore games bring.

People are buying pads and smartphones because they already have computers and consoles. When new consoles comes out, the numbers will favor consoles. These devices are coming out every year and consoles are like every 6-8 years.

Is it possible that the people that buy it love the game play and aren't sheep? I used to think apple owners were sheep but in reality, maybe that's just what they like. Numbers don't lie. Sure numbers are not an indication of overall quality but it does indicate what the population like. I am tired of the Justin bieber argument. He does sell because of horny girls. Definitely. I never pay full price for games anymore. Even so, we get brand new titles usually for at least ten dollars less than consoles do. The steam sales are ridiculous though. I remember I got new vegas and all the dlc for less than 20 bucks. Good times...
