Look at his choice of words. "devs have to make use of it." He knows fine well 3rd party devs who make non exclusives will not be making DX12 optimized games purely because PS4 does not support it. So they will make a game that runs on both consoles to save time and money on porting. Like now all 3rd party multiplatform games are DX11 compatible but don't run directly native because that would be a massive time hog. Thus to save time and clearly a lot of money they do a version ...

3rd party games wont use it simply because DX games cannot be simply ported over to PS4 and vice versa. Games designed to use DX12 won't simply work on PS4 and to save a ton of time in porting devs will simply forgo the DX 12 features and games will be simply like they are now and use direct console access. Since with consoles you have that.
First party games will have a difference but unless MS have some sort of deal devs won't bother as it will simply cost more tim...
Its more like 900p vs 1080p but with MS forcing devs hands lately PS4 games have been nuked down to 900p so it doesn't really matter. Plus I think gamers care wayyyy too much about 1080p on consoles its an issue as both consoles should do 1080p but people care too much like with last gen and party chat.. People just looking for something to hold over another person for their choice in console its stupid.
Sony already have the android market they have an android app that allows remote play and its been ported by hackers to work on any android device.
most of those windows devices are desktops and around 70% of windows devices are business users.. I doubt many will be using this feature on a desktop as it makes a lot more sense to stream to a tablet or laptop. Stats can say what you want them to say when put the right way no?
Sony won't be worried about this one bit and in fact this is great for the industry that both companies are allowing this tech. The only ones who should be worried is Nintendo as the Wiiu isn'...
Actually your wrong in this sense as Remote play is on Android. Sure Sony only want it on Xperia but its already been ported to any phone with root access. Which is 99% of android phones. You can play remote play on a Galaxy, a nexus or a moto or whatever you want. Android has 70% of the mobile market MS cannot touch that. Sont could tomorrow release the app officially on the store if they wanted and that would let non rooted users have the app and MS in reality wouldn't stand a chance wh...
The latest trailer has 10,000 views yet will sell millions in its first week I would say that's not a lot of hype. In fact unlike MS Sony underhypes and under advertises there games.. At least in the UK and US.. I ehard outside them two its differnt as MS doesn't spend as much on advertising.
Oh god everytime we hear about DX12 and how its going to affect tablets and PCs people assume that means xbox too as Xbox games will use the tech.. Give it up already.. Xbox already has direct access to hardware which is what the point of DX12 is! Remember MANTLE?? Thats what DX12 is basically trying to do but AMD beat them to it and locked it to there own brand and now everybody can use it the main difference of course is games have to be programmed for one or the other.
If...
AMD are going to love DX12 as it means more cores get used and AMD are all about the cores..
Yep as DX12 is a new way for windows to access the GPU directly without middle-ware so to speak (laments terms) So the GPU itself won't need nothing more thana drive update to talk back however really old cards probably could do with an update anyway ;). DX11 cards shouldn't have an issue at all. It's not like when DX10 came out that was a whole new API that functioned differently and graphics were rendered differently to perform better. Thats not the case this time around. Thats...
This is like HD/DVD vs Blu-ray all over again as they both going in two differnt directions for the future of VR.. AR vs VR the bigger backing is clearly for VR so its brave MS once again go against the grain.. I like the difference makers however by now you would think they would have learned. Zune, HD-DVD, so.cl, Bing to name a few. They keep beating that last dead horse.. Its making there top dogs nervous no doubt.
However they may be room for both this time around as AR ...
"I guess these people don't remember the Xbox 360s "backwards compatibility".
I guess you dont remember that being there DAY 1.
I agree with him though the demand wont be high enough for it over actual REAL improvements that need to be made to the XBOX. Like new features the majority of people want.

Erm you can easily do that now wihtout the need for ruunning your Xbox while playing which will eat your electricity the above device may seem expensive but after a year you will have saved in energy costs not to mention there are cheaper devices thats just the best around. PC gaming on TV has been around for YEARS. You could even just get a long ...
Silly the other way around and probably not lucrative enough for MS to do so. Purely because of the lack of demand for the technology. I mean seriously how many Xbox One gamers have more powerful PCs want to stream to there Xbox?? As you wouldn't if Your Xbox games were better.. Also you can do the whole process with a simple HDMI lead from your graphics card into your TV.. Cut out the whole XBOX.. Save yourself an absolute fortune in electricity AND no chance of accidently losing connect...
"I dont have the xbone but windows 10 is the reason why I would consider the xbox over the ps4" I'm the opposite, now I can chat to my friends who are on XBL wihtout buying an xbox with my free upgrade to XBL and fable coming to PC theres pretty much no reason for me to upgrade in the near future at least as I have a gaming PC, WiiU and PS4. I don't like shooter games so the only Xbox titles I was interested in in 2015 was Fable and Scalebound. Now with the ability to talk t...
No way this is going to be $100 the parts in the device alone would mean the device costs over $300 to build MINIMUM. It's brand new tech and this thing has a HPU (as MS put it which is basically its own CPU) built in.
Cant see it being so differnt it has to use Kinect. I still think the consumer model will be upwards of $500+ the business models well over the $1000 mark.
I actually prefer the other VR. The point of VR for me personally is to lose myself in another world. MS VR seems a lot like Kinect goggles. You gotta use your hands to control the action instead of a pad really because of the tech. Which sucks really for me. This is the evolution of Kinect IMHO. I can't see many games using this tech at least not console standard hardcore. However business users this would be perfect for.. This is definitely aimed at that market whereas culus etc.. is ai...
Phantom dust isn't really a JRPG but its difficult to pick out a top 5 on Xbox to be fair. I am shocked MS are bothering with Phantom Dust considering the original only sold 100k copies worldwide on the original Xbox. I mean sure the original Xbox wasn't no 360 however that was still in a generation where Halo 2 sold 8.5 million. I think this is a last ditch attempt to try and saver Japan? Since now Mistwalker has gone they pretty much have no developers and IPs in JRPG catagory. Sony...
