I would say your "hardcore" you enjoy all types of games and not just the mass marketed pop games. Its funny how people on this site get insecure about their hardcoreness to the point where they have to ask Lol
"As an experiment, we left Serah and company to fend for themselves over the course of ten battles, with no player input. With an idle player character and two AI companions set up to attack and heal, our party emerged victorious from every fight."
That alone proves to me that this game is unworthy of a purchase and wow i'm even more surprised about Edge being brutally honest and not giving it a pass because its FF i at least can respect that.
Nothing good can come from copying COD
I don't get this review its like he is bipolar or something? First he says its better than FF13 but then he bashes it for having a shitty story and gives it an 8.
"Without question, it's a better game, but Final Fantasy XIII-2 makes costly sacrifices to its narrative in order to achieve mechanical advancements."
Right here he talks about the battle system and says its improved and then he takes it back.

So they are going for quantity over quality

It would be so cool if you could block the knife with your gun then punch the guy in the face or kick em in the balls x)
They have the casual crowd now they don't need hardcore first party titles anymore basically 360 has become the new wii or maybe even surpassed it as the most casual system on the market.

"I Didnt Want Modern Warfare 3 To Be Modern Warfare 2"
All current CODs run on the same engine and are just different variations of the original COD4 so technically they are all the same.
I hope 343 can bring Halo back as i have grown quite tired of COD.
Hmm interesting read, well like the author said you cant really blame the company for doing this when people are willing to pay for this kind of treatment. Ever since i heard rumors of COD Elite i knew it was going to be a test to see just how far the company can get away with milking its fan base but as far as turning COD into a MMO type deal that would definitely spell disaster for the game, as i don't think people would pay that much just to play COD but then again i could be underesti...
This perk thing is getting out of control there is just to many of them its is completely unbalanced i mean ever since they took out stopping power there has been nothing to keep ghost/assassin/uav jammer under control and now there are perks for your guns that totally throws the gun balance out of whack.
Love it or Hate it COD is here to stay.
I wouldn't doubt it if this review was bought and paid for by squeenix.
I want f**ken zombies! Not spiders -___-
Interesting we'll just have to see how it plays with kinect.
I'd have to say DLC, it was a good concept at the start of this gen but now its just an excuse for developers to cut out content and sell it back to the consumer for a price.
The Xbox was hardcore but times have changed, MS wanted the wii crowd and they got it at the expense of the hardcore and with peripherals like kinect and no first party studios the Xbox is all but casual now.
