but it was MS who originally passed on the idea of GTA:3 for consoles, then Rockstar went to Sony and the rest as they say is history. To try to cash in on the success on a franchise that woulda never seen the light of day if it was up to MS is the epitome of what MS is.
alot of 360 supporters here are missing is that while 360 will no doubt benefit from this title, at the same time PS3 will be benefitting from GTA:IV, Gran Turismo: Prologue, Haze (to a lesser degree), and ultimately the don dada of gaming goodness MGS:4.

went to best buy today to pickup rb6v2 since i got some decent word of mouth about it and saw that the HD-DVD section is a memory while there were people inline with 40gb PS3's in hand.

I have a quad core with a 8800GTX, 4GB of ram and I can run Crysis at 1920x1080 on my HDTV and 1920x1200 on my widescreen pc monitors with NO PROBLEM, and yes all the graphics are set to max.

gears looks phenomenal on my gaming PC @ 1920x1200 with all the graphical settings maxed out, and thats just the point the 360 offers a middle of the road experience, that just doesn't cut it for me.
