FACTS, few more days till PS4's 2 years anniversary, there's still no JRPGs that runs on UNITY nor UNREAL 4 game on PS4. UNITY, UNREAL 4 GAME ENGINE IS HARD TO USE.
I blame Unity and Unreal 4 engine for being difficult for JRPGs developers. The current generation is almost 2 years old, they should be dozens of AAA JRPGs by now.
For Edge of Eternity, I opt for lower resolution, cause Human models in Edge of Eternity looks terrible, they should use DAZ 3D human models.

PlayStation 3 is what holding FFXIV back. Final Fantasy XIV could look as good as FFXV and play even better is PS3 wasn't holding the game back. With the current Graphics, FFXIV could be an open world game, where you can own airships and ride flying chocobos everywhere. Airship Battles!

Star Ocean 5 PS4 version please have Real-Time Ambient-Occlusion, those baked AO looks terrible, adding global-illumination would be awesome too. Great use Physically-based shader, all Japanese games should use it too.
Platinum Games, If you can spend so much work on rip-able skirt, How about making the game looks like the concept art that you've been parading? It's very beautiful and real-time graphic does pale presentation of what NieR: Automata could really be with PS4 power.
