It is okay to give credit where it's due. Even if it isn't in your platform of choice.
Simply because you like one game over another doesn't make your opinion worth more.

Depends on the game. If the game is multi-player only then the beta can give a pretty good feel of what the game will play like.
Judging gears by the beta is a mistake as the game is also a single-player and Co Op campaign.
Judging doom is also silly considering it also has a single-player campaign...I didn't play the old dooms for their multi-player either

Resolution does not equal graphical fidelity. Textures and fx equal graphical fidelity.
Ever since this gen started it seems people suddenly think resolution is what makes a game look realistic or something.
May I remind all Console gamers that you've been playing sub 1080 for the majority of your gaming years. Did that stop uncharted, halo, gears, god of war, dishonored, bio shock etc from being totally awes...

Most Nintendo games are 1080p go play those if you love them pixels.
It's running at 60fps which is better then last gen for sure. And the graphics do look better.
Delays after its been promised to release this year by the head of PlayStation is worrisome.
And not all delays lead to a better game.

CD Projekt is an indie developer who has grown into the people who have made The Witcher, Witcher 2 and Witcher 3. Believe me. Indies CAN push the hardware. A developer is a developer as @Rashid said.
For me it was. Gears, halo, fable, Alan wake...2 of which are some on the only games that offer couch Co Op campaign
