and OF COURSE the ps3 version will run slower than the 360 version, Carmack isn't telling that the 360 verion has lower resolution textures, and of course the code is PC-wise, that's why is running smoother, if they reduce the texture framing the ps3 version would also run at 60fps.

It doesn't matter how much both companies lost, it means less jobs for the workers of both companies, both things affects the wallets of the people who works there, and both companies were hit hard, sony were hit in the gaming division (that's why they are working in reducing the cost of production of the console) and microsoft lost on every field except gaming.

agreed, recently I read a report in our line of design that the next month at least 67 people will be fired from the California microsoft management office due a recession in microsoft software, they are doing it good with the hardware (game division) but not the software , something is happening in global terms, sony, microsoft, nintendo are getting hit hard and even the dev companies.
for medium setting performance its pretty accessible, almost any new PC can handle that.
sigh... thanks ID for supporting piracy, people angry with crappy ports and dumb preferences money-over-quality-for-all, this title will be (and they already told Carmack) will be fully aviable on torrents a day prior to the release day (the inner packing personal leaks the seeds on the companies btw)

My excuse to have a 360 was gears 2, but I considered not worthy to have a console just for a game, so I sold it, and when gears 2 was released I play it with a friend, you should do the same, sell your ps3. if you have a console just for a game then you are P-A-T-H-E-T-I-C
