I think this time microsoft focused too much in Japan and "lost" the rest of the world and Sony focused on the rest of the world and lost Japan but Japan has lost the interest in the big consoles and focused on handhelds and the PSP is dominating there.... maybe Sony is not doing it wrong afterall

HDDVD is dead. all the good JRPGs are on the PSP and the DS
the ps3 sales are falling but the PSP is gaining ground beyond the wii and ds? maybe it's the multi functionality of the PSP and the tons of JRPGs on it that makes it attractive for the Japanese market. The 360 is attractive because it got 3 JRPGs of interest there but nothing else to become a huge market.

What stutter and what screen tearing???? really, I don't know if my video codecs and card affect the video but I don't see any screen tearing.
neither in real life, there is something in graphic design called "dynamic lighting" it represents the "bounce" of the light on a surface, it's more noticeable on plain bright surfaces, you got a shadow, and the "bounce" of the light "makes it lighter" than a indirect illuminated shadow. this only means then that the 360 version lacks on dynamic light and the PS3 version got it. and dynamic light requires a lot of cycles.

is the 360 really cashing? just do some maths about manufacture, promoting, insurance, marketing and price cuts just for mention a few things, the 360 isn't a cheap machine, and microsoft don't rely just on the 360 to make money.
