I was the same as the article writer. Decided to play through this before I picked up RDR. Was amazed by what I played. Graphics are astounding, the cover systems is the best I've ever seen in a FPS. Story and Characters are actually pretty good, you just have to finish the game unlike some people above me.

I remember playing Shellshock Nam back in 2004. It was a fun game and started my love of the M14 Rifle. I never knew it was forcibly released early though. With a bit of polish it could have easily been the best Vietnam war game ever.

I've spoken to a few people who were turned of by the demo but loved the full game so I guess the demo just sucked.
The full game however is one of the best this generation. Definitely give it a try. Atmosphere is top notch.

How often do you actually play the multiplayer mode of every game you buy though? Most of the time I don't touch it at all, or just play it for about 2-3 days before I get bored and move along to something else. This gen COD4 and BC2 are the only ones to hold me longer than stated, and are the only ones I really care about. I'd be happier if every other dev just focused solely on the single player. What on earth is wrong about boobs in games? How is a game suddenly ruined because a character gets her tits out? Never pulled me out of an experience before, if anything, it draws me in closer.
I wanted Raiden to die so much in MGS4, yet every time it seemed like he finally died, he came back again. He was so annoying. However I didn't mind him in MGS2. He was definitely the worst part of MGS4 though.
Oh and Xiphos. A Metal Gear game about The Boss would be amazing. I hope Rising gets canceled, and something about The Boss is made instead. Or at least PW on the PS3.
Multiplayer will ruin ME3 so much.
Even if it's just competitive multiplayer not in the main game. Because then Bioware will still have to spend lots of time tweaking the mechanics and end up focusing most on the cover systems and shooting mechanics instead of the actual story and RPG elements.
