I heard last week I think 1.5 Million sold in US, 1 Million in EU and lets just say around 1.5 million (cuz I'm not sure) in Japan and other territories. That would make 4 Million sold, which is quite a lot still
Exactly, I agree with you CrazzyMan, the reason you get the console is for the games that will be released on it, all of those you named for PS3 are ones that I really want (except Turrican sounds familiar but wtf is that?).
Everything else I prefer for PC, especially FPS. PS3 needs a price drop, but they are working on their games so can hope for some better stuff soon.
I can only see a realistic price drop of $100 happening, if they drop too much they will continue to lose money.

Actually it says "Mathieulh has implied that this is a fake created to stop people from speculating about the device..." who knows it may be real, which is why I put this story as a rumor.

True, but you can't scientifically calculate the failure rate of a console, all you can go on is user feedback, and although some people may not get any failures, some people have got 4 failing 360s in the space of a week so it averages out. 30% does seem like a realistic value if you look at it that way.
Holy crap 30% failures in about a year, that's bad...its almost 4million users if you look at how many they supposedly have sold/shipped
For Pre-Alpha it looks really good, much better than the Halo 3 beta. I will definitely get this, but most likely on PC if it comes out, unless it has some really good multi-player then I will probably get it for PS3.
Load times are sometimes better, but it drains the battery quicker and sometimes you can get graphical glitches if you try and do this on a game that was meant to stay at 266Mhz
No Nintendo is also not allowing the game (as it is currently) on their console.

I really want to play this game but something really weird keeps happening when I try and download the demo. I tried directly downloading from a game site and it stopped at 99.7% saying there was a CRC error, then I tried downloading form Gamespot and got the same Error. Then I tried to get it form my Newsgroups and it froze when trying to repair the files (with the PAR2 files). So I just gave up :(. Anyone know why this would happen?
Oh yeah I was trying to get the PC version...
Yeah, they can't sue unless Sony use the same technology that Nintendo has patented, I think Sony will be very careful on this issue.
