I'm pretty sure that Square Enix said they wouldn;t do DLC cos they woulod have to end up making a whole new game.
Personally I think they need to redo the territories. Cos it makes no sense for English speaking people in UK and Australia, New Zealand etc. to get a game 3-6 months after the US release due to localisation for other European countries. All English speaking countries need to be under one territory, and PAL should include everywhere else.
LO2 is the only game I want Mistwalker to announce, hopefully they don't announce Blue Dragon 2, that was a pile of crap.
Silent Hill 1 is the best Silent Hill imo, so if there was one worth buying, it's this one.
@Chaotic - I don't think this is a confirmed rumour, so we don't know what for Netflix will come in.
Also some people are stupid, I mean really stupid, and the only way they'd know how to work Netflix will be to put a disc in that does everything for them. Maybe they're thinking of that?
Personally I don't really care, I'd get a BD movie if I wanted to watch something on my PS3.
6 World exclusives, if he means 6 world exclusive game announcements...WOW. But if he means 6 world exclusive trailers for games we already know about, then meh.
@No Way - Multiple discs is a problem, if you have both consoles and you need to choose between two versions of the game. 4+ DVDs or 1 Blu-ray? I know which one I'd choose. Although I don't mind switching discs (i also don't care about installs either), when you have a choice between the two, why wouldn't you choose the Blu-Ray version?
Mass Effect was good, but personally I preferred Fallout 3 for some reason. I think it was probably to do with the length of the game, still looking forward to ME2, but 25 hours of gameplay (i did every sidequest) was really not enough for an RPG imo.
To be honest they're not losing money from giving the cards for free, they'r just no making money. I mean it would have been a lot more expensive to recall EVERY Xbox 360, than to give a 1 month free Gold card as compensation.
FF fans who want to keep their collections steady will (and should) buy this on the PS3 (because since FF7 the main games have been on PS formats). Some RPG fans may buy it on 360, especially in the US, cos MS has been very clever and they have A LOT of RPGs on their system that are good.
BUT, FF is known for selling very very well in Japan, more than any other territory. And it is exclusive on PS3 in Japan = more sales. FFX sold a million copies in the first week, and shifted ...
Yeh that info is incorrect, because at one point it was meant to be a PS3 exclusive, so how could it have been a Xbox launch title?
Syphon Filter maybe
I expected a little more for some reason. $199 vs $399 and it outsells PS3 by 120k?
360 - 391k sold @ $199 = $78,200,000
PS3 - 276k sold @ $399 = $110,124,000
^Just thought I'd point that out, seen as Sony are going for profitability, and Xbox fanboys are going rabid at the NPD numbers.
Just shows you that MS could put Halo name on any piece of sh*t and it will sell a million copies. Because if this was called ANYTHING else, it would have sold substantially less. I mean there are better RTS games than Halo Wars available e.g. C&C, and they sell less.
If there was only one example of Sales =/= Good game, this is it. I've got Halo Wars (cos I don't mind RTS games), and it is just too easy, so I got bored of it. It's not bad, but it's also not good, it's ok. ...
GDC seems like it will be awesome for PS3 owners, I mean so much stuff has been announced it's unbelievable. I'm also hoping for some 360 news.
@Ninja - E3 is a little earlier this year, 2-4 June (3 days).
Sonarus speaks the truth. DOA completely sucks, NG is pretty cool, although I still prefer Onimusha over it.
I dunno if this is true, but I also remember reading somewhere that MS didn't only pay $50 mil for the DLC, they also paid a few million for advertising GTA4 as on Xbox 360.
Wow, I'm kinda surprised that the 360 version of RE5 isn't in the top 10
Well Demon's Souls is a dungeon crawler rather than an RPG
